Clarksdale, MS underground filmmaker WILL GOSS (creator of the cult classic MAGENTA'S CARESS series) screens his latest epic LAND at the Cats Purring Dude Ranch tonight. LAND is "the story of a farmer who sells his soul to the devil for power over the weather," resulting in "a cosmic battle of elemental human desire." The screening starts at 7pm sharp, and the filmmaker will be on hand to answer your questions, hang out, etc. Here's the trailer:

Cats Purring favorites PRINCE RAMA return to Oxford, MS for the 3rd time this Tuesday 11/22 at the DUDE RANCH! Raised in Hare Krishna communities of Texas and Florida but based in Brooklyn, NY, sisters Taraka and Nimai Larson have made quite a reputation with their unpredictable live shows that blur the line between performance art, psychedelic ritual, and pop spectacle. They have a great new record TRUST NOW out via our friends at PAW TRACKS (Animal Collective, Ariel Pink, Dent May, Black Dice, etc).

GRAY THINGS will open, making their debut as a live band. We realize it's Thanksgiving break at the university, so y'all fellow townies come support some of our favorite artists in the universe. BYOB, $5. Doors 9pm, bands 10pm.
