G-SIDE @ PROUD LARRYS 2/3/11

Huntsville, AL's spaced out rap duo G-SIDE will return to Proud Larry's in Oxford, MS on Thursday 2/3/11. Their transcendent sophomore record THE ONE... COHESIVE is out now. Here's what THE FADER had to say about the album:

"It's essentially the musical equivalent of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Beautiful moments of abstraction that sound like they're beamed from space-- ultra private but with an undeniable connection to the human world."

Oxford's DEAD GAZE will open the show, and FLIGHT will DJ between sets. Show starts at 9pm. Tickets are $10.

GOBBLE GOBBLE VIDEO PLAYLIST

Canadian apocalyptic pop ensemble GOBBLE GOBBLE brought their Mobile Rave Infinitour to Oxford, MS in August of 2010, resulting in the most insane house party we've ever seen by a long shot. They'll be returning 3/21/11 to bless our new space CATS PURRING DUDE RANCH with their interactive and mind-bending performance hijinks.

To celebrate, Gobble Gobble's fearless leader CECIL FRENA curated a warped and wonderful YouTube playlist, which features pregnant robots, glow sticks in toilets, and a Creed cover. Consider this the first in a series of Cats Purring Video Playlists curated by our friends and family.
